The Case for Private Credit Secondaries

Lessons/Sessions to be included:
• The Case for Private Credit Secondaries

As private credit continues to evolve, secondaries are emerging as a differentiated way to access the asset class. This educational session will explore the growing role private credit secondaries play in today’s market, how they differ from traditional direct lending strategies, and why they represent a compelling opportunity for client portfolios.

The session will feature Rick Jain, Pantheon’s Global Head of Private Credit, moderated by Rachel Jacobs, Co‑Head of Capital Formation at AMG, in a continuing education (CE) eligible discussion. Our goal is to help advisors gain practical insights into private credit market dynamics and the potential benefits of a secondaries-focused approach:

  • Understand the asset class: Define private credit and direct lending and how they compare with traditional fixed income exposures
  • Explore private credit secondaries: Learn why the market exists and the potential benefits secondaries provide with discounted entry points, enhanced visibility, and risk mitigation
  • Provide portfolio insights: Gain practical guidance on how advisors are using private credit secondaries to optimize client portfolios
